The City of Elgin, Oklahoma is located in Comanche County and was incorporated in July 1902. Since that time, Elgin has continued to grow along with an extensive rural area. Elgin is located about mid-point between Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls, Texas on Interstate 44, and is next door to Fort Sill, the United States Fire Center of Excellence.
